1965 Plymouth Belvedere Post

When it comes to classic cars it seems for almost every model the most desirable versions are the hardtops where if you roll down all the windows there are not any pillars. A “post” car is a car that has an extra metal around the windows. When it comes to early Plymouth Belvederes such as this 1965, the post cars are HIGHLY desirable and typically fetch much more attention than their hardtop siblings. This Plymouth Belvedere post car has a massive 440 cubic inch Plymouth V8 from a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. The car features mild upgrades including a larger mild cam, high rise intake manifold and a 4 barrel carburetor. It expels exhaust through a set of Flowmaster mufflers. Attached to the engine is a 4 speed manual transmission. The interior is a stock black vinyl setup from a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner and appears to be in good condition. On the outside you will find a nice dark forest green paint job with black stripes. These 1965 Plymouth Belvedere post cars are becoming harder and harder to find and typically when you do find them they are not as nice of an example as what you see here. Tinker with it and pick up a 426 cubic inch Hemi and some A-100 bucket seats and build an A990 “tribute” car (clone) or just keep it detailed and drive and enjoy! 1947 Ford Pickup Truck Pro Street Rat Rod

Sorry for the lack of project cars over the last couple of days. Between my day job and family I had very little time to get anything written for the site. However, I think I have made up for it with this Wednesday evening special. What Project Cars For Sale has dug up here is a one of a kind monster. It started life as a 1947 Ford Pickup Truck and has turned into one beautiful piece of art! This “Rat Rod” pickup truck was dubbed “Deliverance” and graces the pages of Hot Rod Magazine’s current issue. Under the hood you will find a big block Chevrolet 454 cubic inch engine with an early seventies Weiand tunnel ram intake with two Holley 750 Double Pumpers. Sitting atop those Holley’s acting as breathers are two antique spittoons. Yes, you got that right, spittoons. The valve covers on this truck are hand fabricated pieces and not some imported knockoff. Backing up the engine is a Saginaw three speed. Other features of this truck include a four link rear setup, Afco adjustable shocks, four wheel disk brakes and of course, given the “Pro Street” title, the truck has been tubbed with a narrowed Ford nine inch rearend with3:82 gears. This is truck is no ordinary Rat Rod. It was designed and built by a 20 year experienced Winston Cup builder. The build was with Race Quality parts front to rear for superior performance and reliability. Per the seller the truck was completed during March of 2013 and can be driven around town in heavy traffic or down the highway at speeds of 75 to 80 miles per hour without a problem! This is one heck of a 1947 Ford Pickup Truck! It is certain to garner EVERYONE’S attention ANYWHERE it goes! Check out the full truck listing here on eBayClick here to   READ MORE

1967 Chevrolet Malibu L79

I know what you may be thinking. What’s cool about this plain jane stock 1967 Chevrolet Malibu that looks like it has been owned by a little old lady and only driven to the grocery store and church each week? Well, I would love to share. The L79 engine, a 327 cubic inch engine debuted in the Chevelle body style during 1965. Rated at 350 horsepower during 1965 the car was a beast, and only available in Super Sport trim. By 1966 all of the Super Sport Chevelles received the 396 big block and no longer the peppy, high winding, small blocks. What we have here is what looks like a mostly stock, reportedly numbers matching, 1967 Chevrolet Malibu L79 car. In 1967 the horsepower rating dropped to 325 horsepower when placed between the framerails of the Chevelle. This particular car is reported to have very low miles, an extensive documentation trail and way cool options. It not only has the L79 327 cubic inch engine but is mated to a Muncie four speed transmission and is a bench seat car. Is it a big block, Super Sport, 4 speed, bucket seat car? No. It is the exact opposite. A total sleeper. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. That is why this car is cool. Check out the full car listing here on eBayClick here to   READ MORE

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1969 was definitely a benchmark year for the Ford Mustang the variety of different performance names and engines available to consumers. There were six factory performance Mustang models were available (GT, Boss 302, Boss 429, Shelby GT350, Shelby GT500 and the Mach 1). What we have here is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 could use a total restoration, but all in all appears to definitely be restorable. The car has a 351 cubic inch Windsor engine with an automatic transmission and was originally equipped with the Deluxe interior option. With a low starting bid and no reserve this auction will be one to watch! Check out the full car listing here on eBayClick here to   READ MORE

1980 Pontiac Firebird WS6

The early 80’s V8 cars are rising huge in popularity with hot rodders and collectors alike. Today Project Cars For Sale has found a 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the WS6 package! I do not know about you, but I had not heard of any WS6 equipped Pontaic Firebird’s prior to about the year 2000. I did some research, and they definitely did exist prior! Pretty cool little option. This particular car is Tahoe Blue which the seller reports to be one of the rarer color combos available during 1980. This car comes equipped with a matching numbers 301 cubic inch turbo V8. Per the seller there were only 5,280 turbo 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Ams produced. If that fact is true, then just the engine makes this particular car pretty rare! Then once you add in the color combination and WS6 handling package you may just be looking at an extremely rare car! The cars creature features include air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel, manual windows, and four wheel power disk brakes. The car appears to be mostly stock, but has been upgraded with Flowmaster mufflers and has received a stereo upgrade of both the headunit and speakers. Overall it seems to be a pretty clean car! It does not seem to be too major of a project, is definitely a rare car, and looks pretty cool to boot! Check out the full car listing here on eBayClick here to   READ MORE

1968 Dodge Charger

1968 Dodge Charger

Did you grow up watching the Duke boys jump the General Lee and slide across the hood of that charger to jump in the window and tear off fish tailing side to side? I know I did, and the Dukes of Hazzard always got my adrenaline pumping! What Project Cars For Sale has found today is a 1968 Dodge Charger that the seller reports has been in dry barn storage since 1986 North Eastern Pennsylvania! The car has a 318 cubic inch engine with an automatic transmission. The odometer on the 1968 Dodge Charger shows 82,068 miles but who knows how many times it may have rolled over. The seller reports that the engine is running but needs a new fuel pump and that it has a pretty healthy cam along with period headers. When they got it running they report the engine did not knock or smoke. Other engine upgrades include an Accel coil and a Holley 4 barrel carburetor. The car does include some parts not featured in the photos including the front bumper, the center console, most of the window trim, and the taillights. Basically this is a project car that needs some tender loving care to bring it back to its former glory. This car is a good candidate for restoration back to original, a General Lee clone, or a possibly a modern custom hotrod using some of the pieces from the new Dodge platforms. As you might expect for a car that has been in a barn for almost 30 years, no title is included and it is just a bill of sale car. What is awesome is that it is a NO RESERVE AUCTION so you can bid to win it! If you ever dreamt of building one of these cars, this might be the perfect opportunity. 1964 Chevrolet Nova

1964 Chevrolet Nova Gasser

Project Cars For Sale has unearthed one awesome car for sale today! This 1964 Chevrolet Nova has been built into one mean looking altered wheelbase AF/X car! The seller reports that they built this altered wheelbase 1964 Chevrolet Nova during 2001. The Nova was cloned after the Bill Thomas “Novel Nova” which was featured in the March 1966 issue of Hot Rod and Popular Hot Rodding Magazines. This car was also featured in Hot Rod Magazine. It graced the pages of the May 2002 issue where it received six pages and 17 pictures featuring an article by world renowned Hot Rod Editor Steve Maganate. You can check out that feature in the online world at HotRod.com The front axle of this beast has been moved forward three inches, while the rear end has been moved a full eight inches to provide the mean altered stance that you see in the pictures here. The engine in this Nova is a 502 cubic inch Chevrolet big block which has been set back a full eight inches according to the HotRod.com article. Rounding out the drivetrain is a Jerico 4 speed shifted by a Hurst Shifter and a Strange 9 inch rearend. The seller reports that “I’ve made one full pass with the car and turned a 10.99 @ 123MPH on 8-1/2″ slicks. You can go down the highway at 75 with one hand on the wheel and it drives like a dream. You would never guess it has a straight axle until you look underneath.” Between the altered stance and that stack of injectors sticking out of the hood, this car would undoubtedly draw crowds at any cruise night or test and tune at the local drag strip. I have a love for nostalgic cars like this, and this 1964 Chevrolet Nova definitely makes my heart skip a beat and wish I had the cash to have it in my own garage. I had to share it with you all! The Sunday evening find from Project Cars For Sale is quite a rare find! This particular car is a Phase 3 Baldwin Motion 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport from the infamous Baldwin Chevrolet in Baldwin, New York. These cars were a partnership between Baldwin Chevrolet and Joel Rosen at Motion Performance. Together they built some of the most powerful muscle cars to ever pound the pavement in the late 60’s and early 70’s. 1965 Chevrolet Malibu Super Sport

For this mornings feature Project Cars For Sale has found a nice 1965 Chevrolet Malibu Super Sport project car to share. From the exterior this 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS appears relatively stock with exception of the cowl hood and aftermarket wheels. However, it has quite a host of goodies within the Butternut yellow package. Under the hood lies a 355 cubic inch small block Chevrolet with a roller cam breathing through 2 ½ inch exhaust with Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers. This car surely rumbles idling down the block and roars to life as you put your foot to the floor and row through the gears! Oh did I just mention rowing through the gears? Yes, that’s right, inside you will find a Hurst Pro-Billet shifter controlling a Tremec 3550 5 speed manual transmission handling the shifting duties! Steering is upgraded through the use of a CPP quick ratio power steering box controls and the car also was built using certain Hotchkis components. The Malibu can come to a screeching halt with the help of a Wilwood front disk brake conversion and a hydroboost setup. What makes this 1965 Chevrolet Malibu even more of a gem, is that the seller reports that the car is an original 300hp 327 cubic inch Super Sport car and that the original engine is included with the sale! Also, the original flat hood painted the same butternut yellow is included as well. It appears to be a nice, clean, driver as is and would not be embarrassment to pound the pavement in. What you have is a desirable car with some rare options where most of the hardest part of the restoration is already complete! With some minor clean up and personalization, it appears this 1965 Malibu Super Sport could be even more of a head turner than it already is! 1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang

Similar to the Vipercuda posted previously, this feature is not much of a Project Car. Affectionately titled project “Bailout” by the builders Ring Brothers of Wisconsin, this is one heck of a 1966 Ford Mustang! I honestly could not resist sharing this with everyone. Yes, the price is quite hefty, but the product is nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail poured into every nook and cranny of this build by the team at Ring Brothers is evident from every angle of this car. This 1966 Ford Mustang has a stance that is low and mean. Under the hood is a fire breathing stroked 427 cubic inch Windsor stroker motor mated to a T-56 6 speed transmission that must be a blast to row through the gears. The car has Flowmaster 44 series mufflers on it, so it is sure to rumble and set off plenty of car alarms as it blasts through the streets while stopping on a dime thanks to its huge 14 inch Baer Pro Plus brakes with SIX, yes SIX, piston calipers. You would think that with all of the goodies going on with the drivertrain of this car they may have overlooked the creature comforts of the car’s interior. You would be wrong. The interior features Recaro seating and other appointments that are stunning. The exterior of the car has so many subtle and not so subtle modifications I am not sure that I have caught all of them simply by looking at the pictures. This car appears to be a work of art. You may not have the dough to purchase the car, but I encourage you to check out the listing. This car is definitely one to drool over and dream that maybe some day you will hit a jack pot and can buy something similar. Check out the full car listing here on eBayClick here to   READ MORE
